Serengeti
A virtuosic lyricist, David Cohn expands the genre of rap by encompassing various musical styles from experimental noise to indie-rock and electro-pop, exploring the surreal imagery that fills his psyche. His live performances reverberate with his eclectic musical styles, challenging his audience who never know what to expect. Six out of a dozen of his albums have been released on several record labels, including Day By Day Entertainment and F5 Records. While spearheading three different performing groups and recording numerous albums, he is also writing a screenplay that features the idiosyncratic Kenny and Jueles—two Chicagoans born in Serengeti’s brain who’ve already become cult icons.
