Wick
Christopher Marquise Watson’s style is best defined as stream of consciousness combined with abstract poetics, culminating in fragmented yet hypnotic verses. Although he’s known as a performance emcee, his collection of poetry dates back to his adolescence when Wick was first introduced to the art of writing. He began performing in the late 90s for jazz/electronica ensemble Dolce Stil Nuovo. He later formed a jazz/hip-hop group called The Daily Bridge Club. After a few years of solid performances, the group disbanded and he went on to record his first solo album Locket in a Well released on Audio 8 Recordings. Besides his contribution to music, Wick is also passionate about filmmaking, where his abstract technique is applied to the art of film. Listen to Wick: "Boy" http://www.myspace.com/audio8recordings
